1. What are the UBC Intellectual Property Rights policies?

2. Is there a standard consent form I can use?
Yes, there is a standard consent form.
3. My department doesn’t have a website. Can you host video for me and provide me a link to the video online?
A website is necessary to utilize the video hosting service. The links provided are embeddable and require a webpage in order to play.
4. How can I add a password to a webpage?
The administrator of your website can password protect pages in WordPress. If they require a assistance, they may contact the MedIT Service Desk | 1.877.266.0666.
5. How can I add a recording to my course in Blackboard/Connect?
As the presenter you may request for the recording and have it posted to Blackboard/Connect through the program team responsible for organizing the lecture. No lectures will be recorded or posted to MEDICOL without the explicit consent of the presenter.
6. Can MedIT update video content for us?
MedIT is not able to update the video content on the website or provide video editing to the recording. Your website administrator can update the title of the video shown, or the start and end time of the recording with the embeddable video link.
7. I have videos from previous recordings, can I transfer all of them to this platform?
If you have a previously recorded events through MedIT services you may request to have those recordings transferred to the platform. You will be required to provide the event name & date of the recording or the file name of the recording.
