Your password expires every year to protect the security of your account. You can manage your Faculty of Medicine (FoM) password renewal with the following Password-Reset Tool.
First, determine which of the following options applies to you.
You have a FoM login but not a FoM computer:
- If you have forgotten your password or it has expired and you haven’t already signed up for the password-reset tool, call the MedIT Service Desk.
- If you have forgotten your password or it has expired, and you have already signed up for the password-reset tool, see instructions on how to reset your password
- If you want to sign up for the password-reset tool so that you can change your password in the future without calling the Service Desk, see instructions on how to sign up for the tool
You have a FoM computer and a FoM login name and password:
- Reset your password as prompted by your computer. If you haven’t been prompted, call the MedIT Service Desk
Reset Password
- Access the Password-Reset Tool
- Select the Forgot Password button.
- Enter your user name (leave the domain name as FoM) and click Continue.
- Enter your new password and confirm it, then click Reset Password.
- You will see a confirmation window once the password reset is successful.
Sign Up
- Access the Password-Reset Tool
- Sign in using your Faculty of Medicine (FoM) user name and password (ignore “Forgot Your Password?” and “Is Your Account Locked?” links).
- If this is your first time on the tool, you will see a “welcome” window. Select Click Here to enroll.
- Register your Security Que and Ans (answers are case-sensitive) and click Enroll to save your answers.
- Go to Change Password tab, create your new password, and click OK.
- Sign out of the Password-Reset Tool.
